23:06

Has now turned into 23:30, and here I am, still typing away. The wedding is approaching fast. I have another dress fitting tomorrow, so another epic journing awaits me. Hopefully it won't be too bad, despite the replacement bus service part of the way.

Had my driving lesson today. My instructor says I should be able to do some practice tests in a few weeks. I am finding it quite boring now - well, I am either bored or scared, neither of which it is great to be whilst driving! But I know I'm not ready for my test quite yet, so I have to keep going for a while longer.

Brrrruuummmm!

Cluck!

Yesterday, I had my hen day. It was actually an unexpected hen day, in a way. I invited two friends to meet in the city, but wasn't planning to do anything specifically hen-like - little did I know they had been plotting, along with A.

The day didn't start off very well. Work phoned (see other blog), and that was a bit of a worry. Then I realised that we couldn't get a direct train from our house to the city, because of engineering works, so we were going to be late meeting the friend who had travelled (for four hours!) to be there. Also, the other friend and her husband were a bit late arriving. Friend A (the one 4 hours away), is not known for her patience, and does not like to be messed about, so I was a bit worried about what she would say when we arrived. However, when we eventually met up (after leaving the boys in Debenhams), she was actually not too bad, considering. I did feel really bad, because the mess up(s) were due to my disorganisation.

Anyway, we had lunch in Wagamama, which I always call Wagamama's. I'm sorry. Hmm what did I have - chicken curry (excellent) and coconut ice cream (also excellent). I love Wagamama['s]. Whilst I was happily contemplating the menu, I was informed that I would have to answer a set of questions about A, and for every one I got wrong I would have to do a forfeit. Eep! I actually did ok, but still ended up doing quite a few embarassing things in the restaurant, and in the high street! Could have been worse though. They also took me for a free makeover at the department store (my first one, and the first time I've worn make-up in public (apart from ballet shows as a child)), which I a bit scared about - but it was fun! Got a lot of good tips for doing make up for the wedding.

Other things unsuitable for blogging happened, but nothing too wild - this is me after all!

Friend A left at about 4.30pm, but Friend A husbands/fiances went back to our house for tea and played "Mr and Mrs" , which was fun. Drank wine, looked at photos and talked about marriage. It was a good evening, and a good day. Thank you friends.
