Number3

I've put a hit counter on my blog, because yesterday Mr C and I were discussing it, and how many people look at it. I think very few, so I am going to see (presuming the counter works ok). It would be nice to have more readers, but then I would have to worry more about what I write!

I think you will find that there are more web savvy librarians out there than you think! I found you through another of my RSS feeds, and you are on my Netvibes page now. Keep going, be yourself, and you might be suprised at how many people listen :)

Well, I read it now. I hope it doesn't scare you that a colleague has found you. Mwah ha ha...

Hello David!

I am slightly scared [she says, hastily thinking back over posts to try to remember whether she's said anything bad about colleagues] ( =

Hopefully I haven't said anything too controversial/stupid/offensive...

It's nice to have some comments.

Hello anonymous,

I know there are lots of web savvy librarians (I wonder if we are the most web savvy profession after IT people?)

Thanks for your encouragement, whoever you are.

Hi,
Your blog was mentioned by Stephen Cohen on his library stuff blog - and that's how I found it. And your blog introduced me to LibraryThing.com - that's pretty cool! I'm in a public library in Midwestern, US - keep writing!

You probably have more readers than you realise. I read your posts through a feed reader (http://sage.mozdev.org/) that wouldn't show any activity on your counter (I think?).

P.S. Do your workplace have an opinion on your blogging activity - assuming they are aware of it?

Thanks for your comments, anonymous. Glad I was able to introduce you to LibraryThing! Hope your day is going ok and your library users are being good.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your comment. Some people in my workplace are aware of my blog, but only one has read it, as far as I know. Hopefully I haven't written anything that anyone at work would be upset by, but I know workplaces can be funny about things, so I have tried to keep as anonymous as possible.
